Sunday October 3 |
Windsor and Hampton Court Gardens |
Tour
Windsor and Hampton Court Gardens, with option to visit Windsor Castle and
Hampton Court Palace. You will have 2 1/2 hours to explore the inside of
the Castle, walk along the river Thames to Eton College, or go shopping.
For those who wish to see the inside of the Castle to visit the State Apartments,
Queen Mary's Dolls House and the spiritual home of the Order of the Garter,
St. George's Chapel, please allow 1 1/2 hours to do so. At Hampton Court,
about 2 hours are allocated to visit the gardens and palace and relax with
afternoon tea. The drive from Windsor takes you through Runnymede where
the Magna Carta was signed by King John in 1215. |

City of Salisbury and Cathedral |
Visit
the market town of Salisbury for an afternoon tour to the market in the
city, with time to browse in the shops. A guided visit of the famous early
English Cathedral is included. The visit to the cathedral will include seeing
one of the four remaining Magna Carta documents, which date back to King
John in 1215 and contain the first semblance of liberty for the nobility
and citizens of England. |
